As Mr. Walker flipped the light switch, a single, naked bulb, lit up, casting a harsh glare over the small room...no, dungeon. That was the only word Mrs. Walker could think of to describe the room she was standing in. Against one wall were several shelves hung with whips, gags, handcuffs, and other things the housewife, with her sheltered upbringing, could only faintly identify as some sort of sex toy or another. In one corner were several wooden crates, one filled with neat coils of rope, another with rolls of tape in various colors.
Here and there were larger pieces of furniture, crosses, chairs, stocks, each fitted with shackles and chains for securing people to them. As Mrs. Walker reached the bottom of the stairs, she suddenly noticed the cages, to her right. They were of sturdy metal construction, the top part hinging upward and locked in the front with padlocks. They were just large enough to accommodate a person, curled into a ball. Mrs. Walker only realized that was their purpose because one of the cages was currently occupied.
Eyes wide in shock, Mrs. Walker stepped over to the cage, peering through the metal bars at the person inside it. She was a young woman, a girl really. The captive was completely naked, apart from her restraints. The older woman could see her arms were pulled behind her back and locked into steel handcuffs. A large red ballgag was jammed into the girl’s mouth and secured with a leather strap while a matching leather blindfold covered her eyes.
“Thomas...what’s going on here?” Mrs. Walker asked, struggling to take in everything around her. As she spoke, the girl in the cage gave a soft groan, realizing there was someone else in the room. She squirmed, the chains on her hands rattling.
“Honey…” Mr. Walker said, grinning. “Don’t you recognize her?”
